Differences from Graylog
All features from Graylog have equivalents in Loki.
All environments are in a single instance. To search for a given environment, you need to filter by that environment.
Logging in
Choose ‘Sign in with Auth0’, choose "Forgot password” and enter your email address, and you will be sent an email to reset your password.
If you did not have access to Graylog previously but would like access to Loki, please contact support@geniussports.com
View Dashboard
Click on dashboards on the left hand side, and then click your dashboard to open it.
The dashboard will show you messages and errors for your instance. To see a bigger view of a given panel, click the three dots in the top right of that panel and click View. You can use the Filter at the top to search within your logs. To get a larger view of one of the widgets (either messages or errors) you can click the three dots at the top right hand corner of that widget and click View.
Search
To search for messages for a given fixture id for example, you can type in your search in the filter box (example: “_EventId=11508851”) or click on the + button against that line to add it to your search.
Make sure to add Environment to your search, as both Production and UAT are shown on the same dashboard.
Copy a link to a single message
Hover over the message you want. Three buttons will appear at the end of the line. Click the one furthest to the right.
See ad hoc statistics and deeper analysis for a given field
Loki lets you see what values exist for a given field within the messages in your filter/search. Click on any message and click the little graph icon next to the field you want to analyse. For example if you see an error, you can use this to check which fixtures were affected by that error.
In Loki this is called ad hoc statistics. In Graylog it was called Quick Values.
Export search results
First, click the three dots in the top right of the panel you want to export, and go to Inspect → Data
Review the options, and then click download logs to get them in text format, or download csv to get them in csv format.
